Dear Editor:
With elections soon coming in Bethlehem, I hope every voter will support Dan Coffey for Town Board. Dan has been an active member of our community for many years, including being on the Planning Board and the Zoning Board. His strong yet compassionate voice is needed as our town faces increased pressure from development that threaten to overwhelm the character of our town. Dan supports appropriate development while, at the same time, supports protecting farmlands and open space for the next generation. He will work to expand local business opportunities so we will have a properly balanced tax base. He will continue his support and promote community activities and organizations such as our First Night, Bethlehem Opportunities, our rail trail and farmers markets and all we love about our town.
In additions to Dan’s years of service to our community, his other qualifications include:
A law degree from Georgetown, and a Masters in Public Administration from Columbia. He has worked at the federal Congressional Budget Office, the General Accounting Office and was President of the Albany County Bar Association.
I support Dan Coffey for the Bethlehem Town Board because we are more than just another suburb–we have a special and beautiful town with great people, parks, highway, police and senior services, with thriving local businesses and organizations. Dan will help protect and enhance all that we love about Bethlehem. A Vote for Dan is a Vote for our Future.
Sincerely,
Paul Tick,
Delmar
