Pharmacists from the Voorheesville Hannaford Pharmacy will be administering flu immunizations on Wednesday, October 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. Please stop in or call the Library Information Desk at 518-765-2791 to schedule your appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome. Flu shots are free with most insurance. If you are unsure of your policy requirements, the Voorheesville Hannaford can pre-check your insurance at the store at your convenience.
Introduction to Home Food Preservation
Have you always wanted to make your own pickles, jams, or flavored vinegar? Join Karen Roberts Mort on Thursday, October 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., to learn the basics of safe dehydrating, pickling, preserving, canning and freezing. Participants will sample products and make a project to take home.
Second Sunday Film
Join us on Sunday, October 14, at 2 p.m. for the 1931 version of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein, ”starring Boris Karloff. No rating, 70 minutes. Popcorn and snacks will be served.
Introduction to
Microsoft Windows 10
Windows 10 is set to be the “last version of Windows” so now is a great time to learn it. Please register for this overview of the new Microsoft operating system. We will start at the sign-in screen, explore new features, and even take a quick look under the hood at the control panel. Participants can bring their own devices or use one of the Library’s laptops. Please register for one of the following two sessions: either the 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16 OR the 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17.
