Poor Humpty Dumpty! He has fallen off the wall and his egg has cracked. Can all the kings’ horses and all the kings’ men put Humpty Dumpty back together again? Join Miss Amy and Mrs. Brown at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept., 29, for an egg-cellent morning of Humpty Dumpty stories and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math activities that will include an egg drop experiment, rolling egg painting, building a safe and sturdy wall, torn paper art, and playdough egg characters. Up and Running with CSS
This class will introduce Cascading Style Sheets (CSS,) a companion language to HTML that is used to style (think color, fonts, layout) the web. On Tuesday, October 2, from 6 to 8 p.m we will cover the basics and then participants will create their own webpage. No experience with CSS necessary, though participants should be familiar with HTML. Participants can bring their own devices, or use one of the Library’s laptops. \ 13+. Please register.
Finding the right college
Join us as we welcome Dean P. Skarlis, president of the College Advisor of New York, at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3. Dr. Skarlis will discuss college admissions and financial strategy for parents of high school sophomores and juniors.
