Noon Author Talk With C-SPAN 3
Join us when C-SPAN 3 comes to the library on at 12:15 p.m. to film local author David Pietrusza for the 100th anniversary of the death of Quentin Roosevelt.
The talk is a sneak peek from David’s upcoming book “ TR’s Last War”
From David: “July 14 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the death in aerial combat of former President Theodore Roosevelt’s youngest and best-loved son, Quentin, who had volunteered to fight and fly on World War I’s stalemated Western Front. TR had long battled to prepare the nation to fight that war. He personally volunteered for combat. Woodrow Wilson rebuffed him. But TR’s four sons went in his place. Quentin never came back. His father’s heart may have been broken, but his patriotism never flagged.”
Also, David will back in September to talk about the whole book.
David Pietrusza has written or edited over three dozen book and has appeared on such media outlets as NPR, The Fox News Channel, C-SPAN, C-SPAN BookTV, C-SPAN American History TV, The History Channel, GBTV/The Blaze, Newsmax TV, ESPN, ESPN Classic, and the Fox Sports Channel. He has served as regular panelist on FoxNews.com Live and was featured on AMC’s: Making of the Mob: New York.
