Introducing the Adult Summer Reading Program
Summer’s here, and with it comes a whole new chapter for our library with our very first ever Adult Summer Reading Program.
We’re jamming out this July and August to the theme of “Libraries Rock!” with discussions, Paint n Sip events, musical performances, games, and much more.
Motivate yourself by setting a personalized reading goal, sign up for one of dozens of fun events and classes, and/or participate in our weekly bingo challenge — there are many paths to get involved and earn raffle tickets toward gift cards to local eateries and many other great prizes.
Getting started is easy. Just stop by the Information Desk starting June 19 to sign up and pick up your Welcome Packet, which includes all the program rules and guidelines.
Starting the day of our July 9 Summer Reading Soiree, you’ll be able to track your reading and activities on paper, or online or both. Rack up the last of your raffle tickets by Aug. 23 and then join us for the Reader’s Bash on Friday, Aug. 24 to celebrate all your successes and see who will win big in our prize drawings.

The Tarot for Daily Self-Reflection
Jeannie Thomma returns for a follow up to her super-popular workshop last year. Learn how to use the cards as a mirror for daily self-reflection and journaling — the cards can’t tell your future, but they can help you explore the circumstances and questions at play in your life right now.
New and returning students welcome. Bring a journal and a deck of Tarot cards if you have them. Registration is required and can be done online or by calling (518) 810-0314.
Program starts at 6 p.m.
