Vinyl and record players are back
The library is now circulating vinyl records and record players. Check out our popular albums by performers such as: The Lumineers, Drake,” Ed Sheeran, Arctic Monkeys, Adele, Chainsmokers, Coldplay, and much more. The albums are shelved near the adult music CDs in the back of the library, and record players can be checked out at the adult information desk.
Murder Mystery a Success
Thank you to staff members Carol Jones and Jen Soucy and the cast of talented local actors for presenting October’s Murder Mystery. We raised over $800 for the Friends of the Library. Based on audience response, we look forward to hosting this event again in the future.
Holiday Schedule
The library will be closed on Christmas Eve, Sunday Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Monday Dec. 25.
A Look Ahead: Technology
Look for exciting tech updates in 2018. We will be adding new public PCs in Access Services and touch screen online catalogs upstairs in the mezzanine. In Youth Services, we will soon offer touch screen gaming and homework computers, in addition to the launch pad tablets and Chromebook already available. And don’t forget, be sure to mark your calendars for our first ever Tech Fair, scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, March 10. It will be an afternoon exploring local innovation and techie fun, including robots, coding, virtual reality, gaming, and 3D printing! Interested in giving a demonstration or presenting?
