What television series, if any, are you currently watching?
I don’t get to watch much TV but I do enjoy the “Chicago” series, “Med,” “Fire” and “PD.” I am also a fan of the “Good Wife.”
What is the most recent movie you’ve seen?
We actually saw the movie “Money Monster” recently and I thought it was somewhat comical, rather interesting and thought provoking. I actually enjoyed it.
Favorite music or musician?
I really enjoy older music, as you might assume. I enjoy Barbra Striesand, Michael Buble. I actually loved when the two performed the song “It Had To Be You” on a TV special a while ago. My mom loved all the old music and the Big Band Era, so I think we all picked that interest up
What are you reading right now? Would you recommend it?
This past winter, I read the book “New York, The Novel.” It took me a while, but I enjoyed reading through the decades and the city’s diverse history. My friend had recommended it to me, and I too, would recommend it.
Can you share a favorite local memory?
My favorite local memory for me personally, was when I was first sworn in to the Colonie Town Board. When I stepped up with my family to take the oath of office, I spotted several friends whom I did not know were planning on attending the ceremony. It was very touching that they cared enough to be there for me.
What would you consider an ideal vacation?
My ideal vacation would be spending time with our boys and their families on a quiet lake or beach, perhaps including a few friends. I think it is good for the soul to relax and re-group from time to time.
If you could have dinner with any human who has ever lived, who would it be and why?
I have always thought that Benjamin Franklin was ahead of his times with so much creativity and foresight. I believe he was a very honorable statesman. I think it would be very interesting to converse with a man of such intelligence and fortitude, although he would be amazed to see what we are today.
