A few years ago I painted the handles of some bamboo kitchen utensils (a grown up alternative to the clay trivet you might have made and painted in elementary school). She loved them, and they were super easy. All you need is a selection of plain wooden utensils, some paint and a paint sealer to make them last. Maybe for Mother’s Day you could let her wake up to a sparkling clean, and beautiful smelling, house. Made in the owner’s kitchen here in Upstate NY, Tidy Thyme has some lovely organic household cleaners and linen sprays that smell amazing and look equally as adorable just sitting on the shelf. They can be bought at local shops such as All Good Things in Albany and at Anchor No. 5 Boutique in Troy. -Allison Fry (image, Alison Fry)
