Nan Lanahan

Administrator, Bethlehem Parks & Rec.

Hometown: Bethlehem

Residence: Slingerlands

What are you listening to these days? (music, podcast or audio book)?

I enjoy contemporary Christian music as well as the oldies. I’m also listening to an audio book by Kristin Hannah, one of my favorite authors.

Reading?

My book club just finished “Ordinary Grace,” a great story of family, faith, life, death and mystery.

Watching on TV?

I’m afraid I’m wrapped up in too many T.V. shows… “Scandal,” “Blindspot,” “Blacklist,” “NCIS,” “Chicago Fire” and others. I also DVR the “Ellen Show” every day. Attending her show is on my bucket list!

What was the last movie you saw and why?

“The Intern” with girlfriends on a Sunday afternoon, purely for entertainment.

One person living or dead you would like to meet and why?

My maternal grandparents…they died very young but were leaders in their community. As a new grandparent myself I’m sad I never had a relationship with them.

Describe your dream vacation.

Somewhere where I have the ocean out the front door and a golf course out the back door.

What is your favorite hobby?

Golf, golf, and more golf! In the winter I enjoy snowshoeing.

Favorite local memory?

The birth of my grandchildren this summer…one boy born to each of my two stepdaughters. We’re going to have so much fun!

What three things would you bring with you to a desert island?

My family, my iPad filled with books, and a golf club (gotta keep practicing my swing!)
