GLENMONT — National Bank of Coxsackie named Jody A. Shaw the Glenmont branch manager and business development officer just a year ago.

Shaw started working at the Glenmont branch last January after having worked within the industry for 30 years, and she hasn’t regretted the move since.

With a history that traces back to the mid 19th century, NBC has established a local community presence. The Glenmont location will be celebrating its 5th anniversary in July. Branch employees are made up of local residents who understand the needs of their neighbors and the community at large. NBC provides full banking services, from deposits and loans to Individual Retirement Accounts. They also help with personal, as well as, business finances.

“We offer the convenience of applying online for a mortgage,” said Shaw, adding that she knows clients like to conduct business through their smartphones, including through texting. “Then, when you do this, you will receive the benefit of working with someone from the National Bank of Coxsackie, who works in your community, throughout the process.”

Shaw further explained that NBC Bank does not sell off their mortgage accounts to other institutions, allowing customers the reassurance that their hometown bank is continuing the watch over their needs.

From blood drives to fundraisers and sponsoring Tri-Village Little League, Shaw said NBC Bank has become the neighborhood asset it set out to be once the Glenmont branch opened several years ago.

National Bank of Coxsackie in Glenmont offers services for both personal and business accounts, including residential and commercial lending. For more information, visit www.nbcoxsackie.com.
