BETHLEHEM ― Established in June 1990, Delmar-based Joyelle’s Jewelers not only offers a wide selection of fine jewelry, including diamonds, sterling silver, pearls, watches and estate pieces, the family-owned and operated business also features a variety of gifts, such as glassware and scarves along with scented soaps and lotions.
While hundreds of rings, pendants, necklaces, pins and earrings glitter and sparkle throughout the store, customer service and relationship building are what shine the brightest at Joyelle’s, helping it earn Capital Region Living’s Bestie award in both 2017 and 2018.
Owner and jeweler Mary Vail, herself a Bethlehem native, says she, her jewelers and her gemologist strive to make Joyelle’s “a fun place to shop,” creating a comfortable environment where customers can browse without being subject to high pressure sales representatives. She and her staff members are dedicated to helping each customer find what he or she wants within his or her budget.
All of the items that Joyelle’s carries are handpicked by Vail and her staff. Her personal selections are made intuitively: If she thinks someone will like a particular piece of jewelry or the style of a larger collection, she’ll likely add it to the store’s inventory. However, those decisions are made carefully to ensure that what they have on hand not only covers a wide range of price points, but also caters to a variety of different tastes.
While sales are an important facet at Joyelle’s, Vail is most proud of the repair, design and estate jewelry services it offers. Whether a customer needs a simple fix or a complex restoration, Vail and her staff have the capability to repair and restore more pieces than most other area jewelry stores, thanks in large part to an on-site laser welder. For customers who wish to create their own, unique jewelry, Joyelle’s staff will work closely with them to take their vision and transform it into a beautiful custom piece. Joyelle’s also purchases, appraises and sells estate jewelry. In fact, Vail will credit the value of estate pieces a customer no longer wants towards something he or she does want to purchase from her store.
The ultimate goals at Joyelle’s are to develop and maintain a positive relationship with each and every customer through attentive service and quality products and repairs. Everyone at the store looks forward to assisting you with all of your jewelry and gift giving needs.
