DELMAR — Adams Station Apartments has set itself as “a world apart” for nearly 30 years, but not apart from the world, as it maintains a strong sense of community.

A turn down the tree-lined road of Juniper Drive allows a peek beyond the veil that hides this unique neighborhood from bustling town life. The complex is comprised of 282 units spread out over 55 acres. It all revolves around a two-story clubhouse at the heart of the complex.

The clubhouse has been ideal for residents to use for gatherings, parties and the everyday getaway for those suffering from cabin fever this time of year, said Samantha Raynor, director of leasing and marketing. It’s also a place for organizations such as the Girl Scouts and Toastmasters to congregate. And, now, it’s getting a fresh coat of paint, sort of speak.

“I haven’t officially bought all the furniture yet,” said Raynor. “I would think in the spring we will have a grand reopening event, just with new furniture and [to make it] a better space for our residents and the Bethlehem community as a whole.”

It’s a similar community model shared amongst all of The Spinney Group properties. The clubhouse develops into “the epicenter” of neighborhood activity. In 2019, Raynor said she plans to schedule events and book organizations to meet at the clubhouse as a means of drawing residents together.

Many of the living areas look out onto a thicket of woods. That rustic touch allows residents to maintain a sense of privacy while at home. Adams Station Apartments was designed to make one feel at home in a special place. The apartments have been given extra touches such as breakfast nooks, window seats, vaulted ceilings, and private patios and balconies. Featuring a number of amenities including a swimming pool, community garden, fitness club membership and two tennis courts.

Adams Station Apartments offers a pet-friendly environment, and accommodates family life, too. The complex resides within the acclaimed Bethlehem Central School District. Eagle Elementary is a five-minute bike ride away from home, as is Bethlehem Central High School. The district’s middle school, for grades six through eight, is just ten minutes away on two wheels.

Adams Station Apartments’ wooded setting features attractive two-story construction with one and two-bedroom floor plans offering amenities that include central air, cable and wireless internet, a clubhouse, swimming pool, sauna, community gardens, tennis courts and 24-hour maintenance.

“It’s kind of a worry-free environment when people come to live with us,” said Raynor, adding that the 24-hour maintenance crew not only handles snow removal but can also step in if the power goes out, or the pipes freeze. “I think that’s a huge draw, especially in a winter with two, back-to-back storms.”

The Spinney Group management team provides an online tenant portal that allows residents to pay rent over the internet, or set up an automatic payment schedule.
