SLINGERLANDS — Born in Albany 93 years ago, Ken Ford passed away on February 21, 2016.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joy (Alice Caroline Beckers); daughters Barbara Geortner (Jack), Janet Limeri (Marc), Susan Ford (Larry Krajkowski); four grandchildren, Jessica Krajkowski, Zachary Krajkowski, Christopher Limeri, and Lisa Limeri; and nephews, Dr. Bradley Ford (Marcia) and Kenneth Ford.
Ken began his banking career as a teller at City & County Savings Bank and retired as vice president and secretary of Dime Savings Bank. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corp in China and Burma during World War II. Founding residents of Colonial Acres, Ken and Joy lived most of their lives in Glenmont.
Friends may gather Friday, March 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home, 741 Delaware Ave., Delmar. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on March 19 at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 916 Western Ave. in Albany.
