A Voorheesville man was stopped by police in Albany for driving with tinted windows, which led to the discovery he that he allegedly sold a weapon to a convicted felon.
Police stopped Ian Vivenzio, 41, of 48 Pleasant St. in Voorheesville, on Monday, Jan. 27, for the tinted windows and then discovered his license was suspended. After interviewing Vivenzio’s passenger, police determined he recently sold the passenger a Remington .270 caliber rifle. Vivenzio and his passenger are convicted felons and are prohibited from possessing it.
Vivenzio was charged with criminal purchase or disposal of a weapon, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
He was arraigned in Albany City Court and sent to the Albany County jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
