State Police arrested a New Scotland man for allegedly growing dozens of marijuana plants after a long-term investigation.
Police obtained a search warrant and raided the New Scotland home of Lawrence Eaton, 56, on Wednesday, Jan. 29, after allegations indicated he was growing marijuana. Police found more than 50 marijuana plants in “various growth cycles” being cultivated with “professional style” lighting, ventilation and nutrients.
Eaton was charged with unlawfully growing cannabis and possession of marijuana. He was issued tickets to appear in New Scotland Town Court Feb. 6.
Police are continuing to investigate marijuana sales in the town.
