On Tuesday, Dec. 17, Curtis Brisson, 41, of Albany, pleaded guilty to the felony charge of burglary in the third degree in Albany County Court.
The Guilderland Police Department on Nov. 11 responded to a call about a burglary in progress at a business on Western Avenue. When police arrived, Brisson was outside of the building after he broke a door open to force his way into the business.
When Brisson was arrested, he was enrolled in Albany County Drug Court stemming from an unrelated guilty plea of burglary on June 25, 2012.
Brisson faces two-and-a-half to five years in State Prison for his burglary conviction. This will be served consecutive to a three- to six-year sentence due to him violating conditions of Drug Court.
