The Guilderland Police Department is asking the public for help identifying three suspects tied to the theft of a donation jar from a Crossgates Mall store.
Three black males, approximately 15 to 20 years old, allegedly participated in stealing a donation jar filled with proceeds for the Children’s Hospital from Hannoush Jewelers on Friday, March 22, at approximately 5:53 p.m. The jar was placed on a counter and contained around $300, according to police.
Police said the first suspect nabbed the jar while the second and third suspect appeared to serve as lookouts. Police provided descriptions of the suspects.
The first suspect was wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt with a large number “3” on the left side of the chest. He was also wearing a dark colored winter hat and appeared to have some facial hair.
The second suspect was wearing a blue coat with a large black stripe going down each sleeve and appeared to be wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt underneath his coat. He was also wearing a dark colored winter hat.
The last suspect was wearing a leather NFL San Francisco 49ers coat, with a large 49ers logo on the back. The coat had red sleeves with white striping on it. He was also wearing a San Francisco 49ers brim hat and Timberland-style work boots.
