Police arrested a 55-year-old Glenville man for allegedly subjecting another person to sexual contact without their consent.
Glenville police arrested Philip A. Shoemaker, of Heritage Parkway, Glenville, on Tuesday Sept. 18, following an investigation into an alleged incident at his residence on Aug. 21. Shoemaker was arrested at his home without incident, police said.
Shoemaker was charged with sexual abuse in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree.
Shoemaker was arraigned before Glenville Judge Brian Mercy and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond. Shoemaker is scheduled to reappear in court on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 5:30 p.m.
