A speeding vehicle lead State Police to arrest three individuals on cocaine charges after a traffic stop.
State Police on Monday, July 16, at approximately 1:45 a.m., stopped a vehicle for allegedly exceeding the state Thruway speed limit by 25 mph in the Town of Rotterdam.
The driver Linda Romano, 41, was arrested and charged for having an open container of alcohol, but the three passengers are facing much stepper charges after police allegedly found all possessing cocaine and crack cocaine, according to police reports.
Angela VanBuren, 26, of Oswego, was arrested and charges with criminal possession of controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell and criminal possession of a narcotic drug in the fourth degree for allegedly possessing 7.3 grams of crack, both felonies, and criminal possession of controlled substance in the seventh degree and criminal possession of a weapon fourth degree for brass knuckles, both misdemeanors.
Susan Randolph, 21, of Fulton, was arrested and charges with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree.
Kenneth Williams, 25, of Oswego, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
Romano was released on traffic tickets and the three passengers were arraigned in the Town of Rotterdam Court and remanded to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail pending further court action.
