Albany police arrested a 28-year-old Latham man early Sunday, June 17, after he was caught with a loaded handgun, according to Albany police.
According to police, officers responded to a home on North Manning Boulevard just before 1:30 a.m. after receiving a call that a man had pointed a handgun at a woman and threatened to shoot her. When officers arrived, the suspect, Shamir Leflore, of 37 Lake Shore Drive, was found walking away from the scene, said police.
Leflore was placed into custody after tossing a loaded .32 caliber handgun under a car, according to police.
Leflore was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and menacing in the second degree, according to police.
