Between the days of Friday, March 16 and Monday, March 19, the New York State Police, Albany County Sheriff’s Office and 11 municipal police agencies within Albany County will conduct a blanket patrol to crack down on drunk driving.
Blanket patrols have been used since 1989, with many of them unannounced to the public. However, the authorities involved have decided that this one should be announced in order to help deter the public even further from driving while intoxicated.
The results of the patrol will be publicized on Monday, March 19.
