A Colonie man was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 1, for allegedly selling heroin, according to police reports.
Marques C. Goodbee, 30, of 424 Sand Creek Road in Colonie was arrested by members of the Albany County Sheriff’s Office Drug Interdiction Unit, members of the Colonie Police Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, according to police reports.
According to police reports, sheriff’s investigators received several complaints from concerned citizens at 424 Sand Creek Road, which is the Colonie Towers and primarily rents to senior citizens. Investigators used confidential informants to contact Goodbee, who was living with his father, and discovered Goodbee would meet his customers inside his residence as well as outside in the parking lot where he would sell heroin, according to police reports.
Surveillance was set up at Goodbee’s residence and he was observed meeting with a customer, at which time investigators moved in and arrested Goodbee, who was in possession of 30 glassine bags of heroin, according to police reports.
Goodbee has an extensive record for possessing and selling narcotics, said police, and after arraignment was remanded to Albany County Jail without bail.
