Guilderland Police have also warned of would-be burglars who knock on doors and come up with excuses such as looking for a lost dog on for a friend, in an attempt to see if anyone is home.

Investigations into those burglaries are ongoing, and police said that the public’s assistance could help in solving the crimes.
