SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS: Able Chiropractic empowers patients with scoliosis

“From the time I found out I had scoliosis at age 13, there was never any hope for reducing the curve…until I met Dr. Chung,” a 29-year-old patient named Heather said.

Just like millions of Americans, one of Dr. Yejong Chung’s patients was screened for scoliosis in middle school during PE class. She was then referred to an orthopedic spine specialist by her primary doctor and was recommended to wear a brace at night — hoping to prevent the progression of the curve, but not correcting it. Her family felt powerless towards scoliosis because there was no other option to consider.

Dr. Chung of ABLE Corrective Chiropractic explained that there is hope for scoliosis patients.

“Scoliosis patients are not helpless against their spine,” Dr. Chung Said. “If caught early enough, it can be fully corrected as well through corrective chiropractic care integrated with Scolicare at ABLE.”

Scolicare is a truly custom-made 3D spinal brace for patients with scoliosis that has shown its effectiveness in multiple research studies. Along with Scolicare, Dr. Chung uses the most evidence-based technique in the profession called Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP). The technique helps patients achieve the most optimal spine alignment through progress x-rays, mirror-imaging adjustments, and traction. Dr. Chung, who is the only CBP chiropractor in Latham, has been treating patients with arthritis, migraines, sciatica, numbness and tingling, Parkinson’s, fibromyalgia, and more since 2017. “As a veteran myself, I value family and health.,” he said.

Dr. Chung’s unique approach to scoliosis can bring real results to families who wish to change their child’s spinal alignment.

“I was skeptical at first, but we’ve seen improvement after just a few months,” Heather said. “I feel more empowered than ever about the future of my health and my body.” For more information, please visit ablexpierence.org.
