Jessica Richer continues to pile up the awards.
The RealtyUSA broker was named the 2013 “Commercial Investment Agent of the Year” and the “Top Branch Producer 2013” at the company’s regional awards luncheon in March. Those honors are in addition to the three times she was recognized by New York Real Estate Journal in its listing of “Women in Real Estate” in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
“My business philosophy is based on the foundation of ethics and integrity,” said Richer, a Bethlehem resident who works for RealtyUSA’s Commercial Investment Division in Albany. “The bottom line for me is the ‘golden rule’ – I treat people in the same way they want to be treated. I try to be fair, reasonable and honest and hope that by acting in such a manner, I earn people’s trust and loyalty.”
Richer’s specialty involves all aspects of land development including representing landlords and tenants for leasing office and warehouse space, as well as selling mixed-use buildings, multi-family apartment buildings and other types of commercial real estate.
“I utilize a team approach,” said Richer. “We are thorough, explain all the research and data to support our professional options and collaborate with customers to determine professional approaches to selling real estate that are acceptable to everyone. A significant amount of time and resources are dedicated to market our listing via a diversity of media: public, Internet, print and social media. Our team members think ‘outside of the box’ to attract interested buyers and to make them aware of listings using non-traditional modes of communication.”
Richer’s leadership in commercial real estate has led her to being part of several professional organizations. She serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors and Chairperson of the Strategic Planning Committee for the Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Brokers, Inc. As a member of the New York State Association of Realtors, she participates as a member of the Commerical Issues Working Group and the Legislative Policy Forum. She was recently elected as Secretary for the Board of Directors at the Capital Region Chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors, and she is a member of the Greater Capital Association of Realtors and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Richer is also involved with her Bethlehem community. She was one of five people appointed by the Town Board to sit on the Board of Assessment Review.
“I was asked to join the BAR because it was determined there was a need for another Realtor with commercial experience,” said Richer. “This is a great opportunity for me to share my professional expertise and give my time to the community.”
