ALBANY — Trinity of Terror stopped in Albany, performing a brutal show for the MVP Arena crowd, featuring music by Black Veil Brides, Motionless In White, Ice Nine Kills, and special guests Atreyu on Friday night, Nov. 18.
Each of the three bands can headline their own tour, and during this tour, have been cycling through the line by taking turns at the final spot. In Atreyu, the tour had a veteran metal core group warming up the crowd for a nearly five-hour marathon night of music.
The Friday night performance was every theatrical as it was musical. The crowd was a black sea of dark clothes and white-painted faces to reciprocate what they’d later see in Motionless In White. Ice Nine Kills took to the stage, opening with its homage to the Christian Bale cult-classic horror film, “American Psycho.” Black Veil Brides’ Andy Biersack dressed the part of a dapper gentleman preparing to usher you down the descent to hell.
The bass was brutal throughout the night, shaking the outside atrium to the entertainment of those waiting to get inside. Purveyors of the scene understand the fun-loving nature of the crowd — despite all appearances that suggest you should run. The folks behind the soundboard even helped add fuel to the fun between sets, driving the crowd to jump and wave lights to Darude’s 1999 dance hit “Sandstorm.”
