COLONIE — Police responded to reports of an individual armed with a hand gun being involved in a fight at Latham Farms on Tuesday, June 7.
According to Colonie police Lt. Daniel Belles, when officers arrived at the scene at 1:30 p.m. one of the participants in the fight had fled the scene on foot.
About 15 minutes later, the subject was located near Sparrowbush Road.
A 9 mm Keltec handgun was recovered, which had previously been reported stolen out of Fulton County.

According to Belles, the two individuals were riding a CDTA bus from Troy to Latham Farms when they got into an altercation and the handgun was brandished by one of them.
The two exited the bus at Latham Farms where the altercation continued, Belles said.
No shots were fired, but both parties were treated at a hospital for non-life threatening injuries resulting from the altercation.
No other passengers on the bus were injured.
The relationship between the two parties, and the reason for the altercation, are still
being investigated, Belles said, but all involved parties are located and there is no threat to the general public.
As of 8 p.m. Tuesday, no charges have been filed, but that could change as the investigation continues.
