LATHAM — Alex Vincent, Inside Sales at the GNH Showroom, knows the importance of a project done well.
Helping clients build out their dream homes relies on a lot more than just excellent designs and reliable products. There are also many logistical and finer details to take care of, and that’s where Alex shines! We recently had the chance to sit down and talk with her about her experiences in the industry at GNH, her recent project involving Marvin Windows, and any home improvement advice she had to share.
Early on, Alex knew she had a passion for the home improvement industry and had spent years developing her skills in the field. Working with her father for his construction company, she “…gained a deep insight into everything that goes into designing, building, and remodeling quality homes.” In early 2020, Alex started to forge her own path, and quickly found her place on the GNH team. Expounding on this, she told us “Working in construction before working at GNH was crucial…I felt more prepared.”
After a brief settling-in period, Alex had to get down to business quickly. Thankfully, she had landed at the best spot to help her along in her journey, as her teammates were all too happy to help her grow. “My co-workers at GNH have been a huge help during these times, they truly went above and beyond to help me learn any of the ins and outs of the industry that I hadn’t discovered yet.”
Now Alex stands ready to tackle any project put in front of her! Her most recent project for a client, which started as just a window replacement using Marvin Windows, blossomed into a full house exterior remodel. “The client had already ordered Marvin Windows before planning their entire house…but eventually replaced their siding, lumber, insulation, and mouldings as well”, she explained. In her involvement on the project, she worked closely with the client’s architect, while also collaborating with the client on design specifications and other project details.
As for homeowners looking to remodel their homes, she had a few key pieces of advice. She explained: “Be ready to be patient and have a good idea of what you want out of your remodel…it can take some time to get certain products in stock, but if you have a plan in place, it will all work out!”
