The town is getting new signs and they won’t include any names of elected officials.
Supervisor Peter Crummey said the signs will be installed at the town line on major thoroughfares welcoming people to a “great place to live work and play.” And there will be new signs in town parks.
“These signs, these roads and these parks are provided by the citizens and do not need to include names of elected officials,” Crummey said.
By eliminating the names of elected officials, Crummey said, the town does not have to spend money replacing the signs every time an election dictates such a change is necessary.
