BETHLEHEM — Town Justice Andrew W. Kirby has announced his 2021 re-election campaign.
Kirby has handled over 30,000 criminal, vehicle, traffic and small claims cases since he first sat on the bench as Bethlehem Town Judge in 2014.
“The Bethlehem Town Court is one of the busiest courts in New York State and the Justices and the Court staff have earned praise and recognition for its efficiency of operation,” Kirby said in a statement released over the weekend. “Throughout 2020, the court faced many challenges with COVID-19 restrictions and sweeping changes to New York’s criminal justice laws. The Court worked with the Bethlehem Police Department and Town officials to keep the town’s justice system operating smoothly for the people of Bethlehem.”
Kirby earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and his law degree from the Pepperdine University School of Law. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1993, and is a highly experienced trial attorney appearing in state and federal courts throughout New York. Additionally, he is a Bethlehem small business owner operating the Conway & Kirby Law Firm located in the Four Corners District.
