ALBANY — A 20-year-old Guilderland woman was arrested on Friday, June 5 for assaulting a correctional officer during her release from the county jail.
According to Sheriff Craig Apple, Sylvia Aragosa grabbed the officer’s hair and ripped out her earing. The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Aragosa was charged with felony assault and was slated to be arraigned in Albany County Court.
It is not known why she was in jail.
