Two men arrested for methamphetamine possession at Colonie hotel

COLONIE — Two men, one from Albany and one from Massachusetts, were arrested on Wednesday, May 6 for possessing methamphetamine at a hotel in town.

PITCHER

Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr. said investigators found more than an ounce and a half of the drug, a digital scale and packaging materials in the room as well as suboxone strips, an over the counter opioid.

The hotel where the alleged crimes took place was not named.

Leonard Pitcher, 60, was arrested and charged with two felonies of criminal possession of a controlled substance and the misdemeanors of using drug paraphernalia and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was sent to the Albany County jail.

Brayton Whitney, 37, was arrested and charged with the misdemeanors of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a ticket to appear in Town of Colonie court.
