COLONIE —The Midway Fire Department couldn’t hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt this year for obvious reasons.
So, on Saturday, April 11 firefighters loaded up the Easter Bunny on a fire truck and took him (or her?) into the neighborhood.
For about 90 minutes, the parade weaved in and out of South Colonie streets with lights on and sirens sounding an occasional blare and, of course, the Easter Bunny aboard a pumper truck waving hello.
Scores of families came out to cheer on the caravan, say Happy Easter or just “thank you” for bringing a little cheer to a stay at home order during a holiday.
