COLONIE — After a traffic stop, a 22-year-old from Latham was arrested for possessing nearly 400 fake $100 bills.
According to the State Police, a trooper pulled over Ali Sheroze on Scully Avenue in Colonie at around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 for driving without a headlight.
The trooper noticed an odor of marijuana and upon a search found 80 fake $100 bills in the console, and another 294 fake $100s in a backpack on the rear seat.
Sheroze is charged with the felony of criminal possession of a forged instrument and released on an appearance ticket in Colonie Town Court.
