BETHLEHEM — A 35-year-old town man was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 11 for possession of child pornography.
According to State Police, a search warrant was executed at the Bethlehem home of Kyle M. Caffrey at an earlier date, and investigators found child pornography on his computers and other electronic devices that were seized during the execution of that warrant.
He was arrested at his home by troopers out of the New Scotland and Latham barracks. His address was not immediately available.
He stands charged with the felonies of allegedly promoting the sexual performance of a child less than 17 years old and possessing the sexual performance of a child.
He was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and sent to the Albany County jail on $40,000 bail.
The State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Bureau of Criminal Investigation along with the State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security investigated.
