COLONIE — Acting on a tip, police arrested two men for possessing a loaded, illegal handgun.
According to Lt. Robert Winn, on Friday, March 8, police received information about the occupants of a 2004 Honda CRV possibly being in possession of the handgun.

Officer Christopher Smith located the suspects’ vehicle in the parking lot of the Valley View Apartments at around 3:56 a.m.
At around 4:43 a.m., the vehicle left the lot, and with the assistance of other officers, it was stopped in front of 95 Johnson Road.
The two occupants — 23-year-old Scott Clark of Watervliet, who owns the vehicle, and 28-year-old Zebadiah Jackson of Troy — were detained without incident.
A loaded .45 caliber Springfield XDS was located in the back seat. It had seven

rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. An additional magazine was also found with five rounds.
The history of the handgun is not known and is currently being investigated.
Clark is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and the infraction of failing to stop at a stop sign. Jackson is charged with two felonies of criminal possession of a weapon and the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.
They were arraigned in Colonie Justice Court and remanded to the Albany county jail.
