COLONIE — Two top boys soccer teams in the Suburban Council, CBA and Shaker, squared off on Thursday, Sept. 28, and ended in a 3-3 tie.
It looked like CBA was going to run away with it on its home field after jumping out to a 2-0 lead at the half with goals by Keegan Vedder and Michael Puccioni.
But, Shaker tied it up not five minutes into the second half with goals by Evan Austin and Jack Acquario.
The Brothers took a 3-2 lead on a penalty kick by Alejandro Torres, but The Bison answered with eight minutes left with a goal by Ryan Watson to send it to OT.
The two teams played two extra 10-minute periods without a score.
Keegan Flaherty had 13 saves for Shaker while Nate Foster had nine for CBA.
CBA (8-1, 9-1) remains atop the Suburban Council Gray Division and Shaker (6-2, 7-3) is tied with Bethlehem in first place of the Blue Division.
