VOORHEESVILLE—Residents in the Voorheesville Central School District approved a $24.7 million budget for the 2018-19 school year by a vote of 401 to 231.
The budget increases spending by 2.19 percent over the current year and includes a 2.5 percent tax levy increase.
A proposition to purchase two busses for a cost not to exceed $178,000 passed by a vote of 438 to 109.
A proposition to set up a Capital Reserve Fund for future capital improvements passed by a vote of 416 to 208.
And a proposition to spend $7.7 million to make a variety of improvements to the district’s aging infrastructure passed by a vote of 414 to 205.
Cynthia Monaghan and Michael Canfora were both re-elected to serve four year terms on the Board of Education.
