ALBANY — Heavy snow continues to fall and County Executive Daniel P. McCoy has urged people to stay off the roads to allow plow operators to clear the lanes and to be safe.
“Our DPW crews are doing a tremendous job clearing the roadways but the snow has caused white out conditions in some areas and its heavy weight has downed trees and caused power outages,” said McCoy. “I have been sharing pictures from throughout the county and urging anyone who can to stay home and be safe. We have also reached out to our hardest hit towns and villages offering whatever assistance they might need.”
Governor Cuomo has issued a travel advisory for all areas north of New York City requesting limited travel due to dangerous conditions on roadways impacting most of upstate New York.
