COLONIE – On Saturday, Feb. 3, two officers on routine patrol found a loaded hand gun and 31 bags of marijuana in a car parked outside the Shenanigan’s strip club on Central Avenue.

According to Lt. Robert Winn, at 3:48 a.m. officers John Rockwell and Robert Lemerise were checking on the 2003 Nissan Altima and spotted the handgun sitting on the driver’s seat.

They waited until two men exited the bar and entered the vehicle.

Both men were detained and the officers confirmed the gun was a loaded Taurus .38 revolver. Also located in the car were 31 bags of marijuana.

The investigation determined the gun and drugs belonged to Andrew Trinidad, a 26-year-old from Albany.

He was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and the misdemeanor of criminal possession of marijuana and sent to the Albany County jail pending arraignment.

The second man was released without charges.
