ALBANY – A city man will spend up to the next three years in prison for planting a camera in the bathroom of the Wolf Road Starbucks.
On March 18, 2017, Colonie police were called to the Starbucks after an employee found a suspicious looking cell phone charger.
Jonathan Waters, 33, admitted to planting what was actually a recording device and pleaded guilty to the felony of unlawful surveillance.
Upon his release from prison, Waters will have to register as a sex offender.
Judge Peter Lynch presided, and Assistant District Attorney Matthew Schrantz, of the Special Victims Unit prosecuted.
