TROY — The popular Troy Flea returns this weekend for a special indoor winter “clubhouse” holiday market.
“Babes in Troyland” will fill three floors of the Takk House, 55 Third St., with more than 30 antique, vintage and craft vendors Saturday, Dec. 10, from 1 to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“You can get all of your holiday shopping done in one day under one roof, but ‘Babes in Troyland’ is so much more than a holiday market,” said Troy Flea manager Kristin Jackson. “It’s a scene that happens in one of the coolest spaces around.”
The bazaar will also feature cocktails in the barroom and a “beer garden” in the main hall, with food catered by The Ruck. Albany Distilling Co. will offer a whisky tasting, Superior Merchandise will run a coffee bar, and there will be locally-made sweets available.
Additionally, there will be chair massages and tarot card readings all weekend. Live entertainment both days includes a badly behaving Santa Claus, portrayed by improv artist Peter Delocis. There will be music performances by Caroline MotherJudge at 1 p.m. and Jeff Nania at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 10, and a 6 p.m. burlesque show by Persephone Pomme and Co. Musical clown Ragliacci performs at noon on Dec. 11.
