Would the real senior move manager please stand up

BETHLEHEM — If  you were to ask five people what Organize Senior Moves does, you would get five different answers.

As senior move managers, we hear everything from: a person who promotes physical activity among the senior population to a moving company specifically for seniors.  In actuality, we wear many hats, many of which you may not be aware.

The primary purpose of a senior move manager is to assist the elderly in their transition from one home to another.

As you can imagine, this can go in a number of directions. Perhaps the most common direction is that of being a “hand holder.”

Often times our clients are not only anxious about the move, but are also reluctant to say goodbye to some of their possessions, many of which they’ve had for many years.

The Organize Senior Moves’ team places our clients’ satisfaction as a top priority.

We understand their concerns, and do our best to find appropriate solutions – the creative juices are put to the test to find mutually agreed upon answers.

As we proceed through the process of downsizing a home in preparation for a move, inevitably, there are belongings (large and small) that cannot go into the new home due to a lack of available space.

It is then upon the Organize Senior Moves’ team to “find a home” for these things.  These things may go to family, a charity, or, sometimes, a dumpster.

Our clients may need to have special services to complete the downsizing process. We have contacts with auctioneers, realtors, movers, etc.  Whatever the client needs to make the move easier and less stressful, Organize Senior Moves is able to connect the client with the proper resources.

Among the most enjoyable things that we do is working with the client to create a layout for their new home.  We will sit with their clients, assess what they would like to bring with them, and compare that to the space that is available in their new home.

On the day of the move, that layout is used to direct the movers with the large pieces of furniture.

The Organize Senior Moves’ team is dedicated to creating the confidence that a client needs to make the necessary decisions during a difficult transition.  We will work closely with our clients to ensure their comfort, happiness and peace of mind.
