ALBANY — For over 25 years we’ve been a local, family owned-and-operated restaurant, serving classic American favorites along with some of our own signature dishes.

Popular dishes from our grill include the most tender New York Strip steak, fresh Atlantic salmon, sliced sirloin and our juicy burgers. Our burgers are among the best in the Capital District.

We go as far back as 1989, when Martel’s Restaurant first opened on Albany’s Broadway and quickly become a popular watering hole for downtown employees and nightlife seekers, alike.

The popularity of our menus and service led the way to the opening of our second location, Martel’s Restaurant at Capital Hills, five years later.

At Capital Hills, we started to emphasis greater quality on food and service —the same standard of quality you are accustom to receiving in both our dining room and catering services today.

The hard work and dedication consistently over the years has led us to our newest location Martel’s Grill and Bar at the Town of Colonie Golf Course. Prior to opening in the spring of 2014, we completely renovated the restaurant creating an open air environment where three separate areas are all in one. A new look and feel inside, along with a new outdoor patio is making this location a local’s favorite any time of the day.

Both locations offer full catering services. Whether you’re looking for a buffet, sit down dinners or cocktail reception, we can accommodate your needs. And, each have covered patios overlooking the beautiful golf course.

At Martel’s, it doesn’t matter if your event is big or small, well planned or last minute, you will get personalized service you only find with a family business.

Our menu really does have something for everyone. We make our own soups daily and Our signature salads are made with the freshest produce, house made dressings and croutons.

And, Pizza? We got you covered. We stretch our fresh dough daily and handcraft each pizza to order with delicious mouth watering toppings.

Speaking of which, we couldn’t forget our future golfers. Our kids’ menu is only $4.99, all day, every day.

Martel’s is the perfect setting for everyday dining or any special event.
