Voters in the Capital District headed to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 6, to cast ballots in races ranging from the presidential election to local contests.
Chief among local races were a number of contests for seats left open by retiring incumbents. The landscape was further affected by redistricting this year, giving some voters even more new faces.
In town-level races, voters in Colonie are selecting two members of the Town Board as are residents of the Town of Bethlehem. Both races are to fill the remainder of a term. In Saratoga Springs, voters are also seeing a proposition that, if passed, could do away with the city’s commissioner form of government and instead for a city council that appoints a city manager.
