The Saratoga Springs Police Departments Criminal Investigation Unit arrested Galen J. Seerup, 24, of Union Street in Saratoga Springs in connection with the recent downtown burglary at Trotters Bar and Putnam Den, according to information from the police department.
Seerup was charged with two counts of burglary in the third degree, a class D felony, one count of grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony and one count of criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a class D felony, according to information from police.
Police also said they recovered a quantity of cash and property that were taken during the course of the burglaries.
A second suspect in the burglaries who is known to the CIU unit has fled the area and police will be seeking arrest warrants for that subject, said police.
Seerup was remanded to the Saratoga County Jail without bail and the investigation into the incidents is continuing, said police.
