Bethlehem police on Monday, Aug. 8, arrested a Selkirk man on felony drug charges.
Police said they discovered more than 22 ounces of marijuana and growing pot plants at the home of Thomas A. Nagy, 41, of 1122 River Road in Selkirk.

Bethlehem police officers and the Department of Environmental Conservation allegedly discovered the drugs when conducting a followup investigation into an outdoor fire complaint at the address made on Sunday night.
Nagy agreed to show the officers his fire ring and during the interview police allegedly noticed the odor of marijuana and a potted marijuana plant near the area of the fire. Nagy told the officers he grows marijuana for personal use and proceeded to show them a shed filled with lights, ventilators, potting equipment and fertilizer, as well as plants growing under lights in his basement and plants growing outdoors at four locations in areas near the home, according to arrest reports.
Nagy was charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree, a felony, and unlawful growing of marijuana, a misdemeanor. Police also seized three rifles, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia. He was also given a ticket for the outdoor fire.
Nagy was arraigned and released on $10,000 bail. He was scheduled to reappear in Bethlehem Town Court on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
