Motorists around Albany might want to plan ahead for tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 30, if they were planning to use either Interstate Highway 90 or 787 during afternoon hours.
The New York State Department of Transportation issued a travel advisory for Tuesday, Nov. 30, because of short-term ramp closures on I-90 and I-787. The ramps are being closed for routine bridge inspections, said DOT officials.
The ramp from I-90 westbound to I-787 northbound and southbound will be closed from 10 a.m. to noon, said officials. A signed detour route is planned to direct traffic to exit 6 off I-90, where traffic will then be directed back to I-90 and I-787 via U.S. Route 9 north and Northern Boulevard.
Also, the ramp carrying traffic from I-90 eastbound to I-787 northbound will be closed from noon to 2 p.m., said officials. A signed detour route is planned direct traffic to exit 4B (Clinton Avenue) off I-787 where traffic will be directed back to I-787 northbound.
