The Niskayuna Police Department responded to the Sunoco Mart located at 3522 State Street for a reported armed robbery on the evening of Monday, Nov. 15.
The store clerk reported that just prior to 8 p.m. a subject entered the store and displayed what appeared to be a black semi-automatic hand gun and demanded money, said police.
Police said the suspect is described as a dark skin black male, approximately six feet tall and 175 pounds. He was described wearing a short sleeve white or light colored tee shirt, blue jeans and what appeared to be a stocking over his face, said police.
The suspect is alleged to have made off with an as of yet undetermined amount of cash, said police Tuesday morning. He was last seen on foot running on Albany Street towards the City of Schenectady. Police said nobody was injured during the robbery.
Detectives are following leads and working with other local agencies in an attempt to identify the suspect. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Niskayuna Police Department at 374-3159.`
