At about 1 a.m. early Sunday, Nov. 7, Saratoga Springs police, fire and EMS personnel responded to a motor vehicle crash on Perimeter Road on the Skidmore College campus and being forced to extract the operator of the vehicle, according to police reports.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Shomik Ghosh, 19, of Madison, Conn., who had become trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted. Once freed from the vehicle, Ghosh was airlifted to Albany Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained as a result of the crash.
Police subsequently charged Ghosh with failure to keep right, speeding and DWI and he was issued appearance tickets, scheduled for arraignment on Dec. 9, 2010 in City Court.
